In Science, we did a Cell Simile Project. The Cell Simile Project was where we would compare a cell to a certain setting. I compared it to an airport, because a lot of things in the airport could be compared to a cell. For example, I compared the Golgi Body of a cell to a plane, because both take something and transport them to somewhere else. The purpose of this assignment was to clarify what the parts of the cell are and their functions. This project fits under the Creative Thinking part of the Westport 2025 Lens because you have to imagine what things would work for the simile. This project also increases curiosity, which in turn has kids asking many more questions. Students will also have to take bold attempts and be confident in their simile, because they should go and dive deep into their simile. This project had us be creative, ask questions, and make bold attempts.
